This week was another crazy and awesome week. Monday we didn’t do much except clean and watch the movie the testaments which is such an awesome movie.
Tuesday we brought Brother Crane to teach Yeni and Fernando and Luis and Marycruz. We taught Yeni and Fernando the Plan of Salvation and where we come from and they seemed really receptive. We then had an amazing lesson with Luis and Marycruz and one of our newest investigators who is their son Joshua. They all have been reading the Book of Mormon and it is great. We taught about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it was a super spiritual lesson.
On Wednesday we had exchanges with the Zone leaders. We had District Meeting and I made tacos for everyone and they were great. We ended up contacting two of our referrals but they both weren’t interested. We then taught a less active family about the importance of the Sabbath day and partaking the sacrament.
On Thursday we read with our investigator Felipe the Family: A Proclamation to the World and he really was receptive and really liked reading it.
Friday we had the awesome opportunity to go on splits with Bishop Garner and his son Nathan Garner. Bishop and I went to a less active family named the Curtis Family and we just shared with them the Christmas Initiative and a short spiritual thought and it went great. Elder Jones accompanied by Nathan Garner, ended up getting 5 referrals and we ended up contacting 4 referrals that night! Earlier that day we met a woman named Gail who is one of the nicest, craziest, most anti-Mormon people I have ever met. That is a pretty funny description but she is really nice until you start talking about Mormonism. She has a really hard heart so please pray that the Lord will soften her heart towards our church.
On Saturday we had an awesome lesson with two new investigators: Douglass and Yesenia. That night we had dinner with the Valdez family and they made Carne Asada quesadillas and they were the bomb. We then stayed at there house and taught Jesus Garcia another awesome investigator and we hope that he gets baptized here soon.
Lastly, on Sunday we had a great time at church and in third hour were able to teach about the new Christmas initiative and it went great. We then contacted 3 more of our referrals and taught a person named Armando who was one of the referrals but both Elder Jones and I feel he isn’t very interested in the church so we didn’t count him as a new investigator. Anyhow that is about all and keep the prayers coming especially for Jenny and Alberto, who are some investigators who were really progressing and then all the sudden they wanted to drop us.
