Amazing General Conference this weekend! Here are some of the notes and impressions that I took from this last General Conference!
The Solemn Assembly was so amazing and it was so cool to feel the unifying power of the entire world of saints standing in unison to show that they will sustain the dear prophet and what the Lord says to him. One of my favorite talks that I absolutely loved was by Lynn G. Robbins in the Saturday Morning session. I love how he talked about second chances and the true meaning of success. we must “use failure as a tutor, not a tragedy” and “not going from failure to failure, but growing from failure to failure”
-Lynn G. Robbins
Another talk that hit me pretty hard was President Nelson’s talk in the Priesthood session and the importance of blessing people in blessing, not just giving a prayer. I loved Elder Uchtdorf’s talk and Beholding the man, the Son of God, for who he really is, and truly understanding what he means for each and every one of us. Lastly, I love President Nelson’s exhortation and announcing of the temples at the end of conference! I am so excited for those temple that will be built, especially the one in Richmond Virginia! Remember that President Nelson said in his closing remarks President Russel M. Nelson described what had occurred in conference as “LIFE CHANGING”.
I testify that this conference will change your life if you will allow it to. President Nelson continued, “I exhort you to study the messages of this conference frequently, even repeatedly during the next six months…, and your desire to obey will be enhanced as you remember and reflect upon what you have felt these past two days.” I hope you take that challenge truly, and testify that that is what the Lord wants us to do, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Con Amor,
Elder Saunders
