Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the FAIR???

So this last week was fair, and we had a great time meeting a lot of people and connecting with the youth. The stake has a food booth, and a lot of people didn’t show up for their shifts, so we ended up helping a lot, and it was great! It was awesome to see a lot of the kids that I met last year, and how much it meant to them that I remembered their names after a year. It really made me realize the importance of remembering people by name, and I know that is why Joseph Smith mentioned that important detail in the First Vision. This work, this gospel, is personal, made for each and every individual in mind, I know that to be true.

I had a great week this last week, and we honestly have just been focusing on helping each companionship in the zone baptize this next month, and know as we do that, that our area will be blessed as well. We had a great dinner with a family I met at fair last year, and the girl said that she wants to be baptized! We are going to go play basketball with some of the youth that I met at fair this last week today, so that should be way fun as well! We are continuing to see the blessings of being obedient and diligent, and I know how much I have changed because of it. I love ministering, and I know that is what our brother Jesus Christ did while he was on the earth, and continues to ministers with the help of the spirit and the angels around us every day.

On that thought, here are another 5 unique ways to minister to those around you:

  1. Hold a friendly neighborhood BBQ.
  2. Hold a church movie night and invite a family to come over and watch it with you.
  3. Deliver a birthday card, a thinking about you card, a thank you card or a card of encouragement.
  4. Pay for the person behind you in a drive thru.
  5. Teaching a seasoned member of the church how to use technology to communicate or share the gospel.

Well it was such a great week, and hope you have a spectacular week this next week! Love you all and thank you for your prayers.
