This last week I was able to go on exchanges with Elder Royal, and it was a great time, I miss him so much, he is an incredible missionary. I also attatched a picture from this last week’s exchange of Elder Royal and I, we are so gangsta.
We had a great time this last week knocking a lot of doors, with not much success, and with 80 doors or so and 4 people answering, people could be very discouraged , but discouragement weakens spiritual power, and is the enemy of joy and hope, so although we did not have much success in our own area, the zone has been doing incredible this last week! There was 5 baptisms this last week and we have 5 or 6 baptisms this next week as well! Who would have thought so many brothers and sisters were ready here in the small area of Rupert and Declo (and surrounding areas)! With this amazing success and the joy I feel, it reminds me of a great scripture that says:
14 But I do not joy in my own success alone, but my joy is more full because of the success of my brethren, who have been up to the land of Nephi.
15 Behold, they have labored exceedingly, and have brought forth much fruit; and how great shall be their reward!
16 Now, when I think of the success of these my brethren my soul is carried away, even to the separation of it from the body, as it were, so great is my joy. (Alma 29:14-16)
We have all been working so hard, and have realized the miracles that come when we are accountable to each other, and are working together as in Moses 7:18 with “one heart and one mind”. I am, (we are) so blessed to be part of this church, I know it is true. I testify without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, I have seen its fruits in my own life, and know from who it came. I have so much joy in the success of those around me, and want to challenge you guys this week to find joy in someone else’s success. Will you do that? I promise as you do that, your joy will be more full, and you will see people more like how Jesus Christ sees them. I leave that in the name of Him who we strive to become like, even Jesus Christ, AMEN.
